Turkey Emancipation

In my boring job marketing boring accountants, I currently have the pleasure of working on a pitch to the Canadian Turkey Marketing Association for their audit and tax work.

Reviewing their Annual Report, their Vision is that:

"Canadian Turkey will be readily available everyday, everywhere in Canada in the form consumers desire".

It is a good thing there is an organization out there fighting to help make the dreams of turkeys everywhere come true - that turkey might one day, acheive the status and recognition that ground beef and chicken has - and make it to your table any god damn day of the year. NOT just on the holidays.

Now if only the lamb association could get its act together and learn a thing or two from these turkeys, then there very well may be a "365 Ways to Cook Baby Sheep" cookbook lining the shelves soon at a Chapters near you.

authors note: I love lamb. wandering in a field - or on my plate. I accept the cycle of life...especially with a nice rosemary & garlic reduction.
