Jackpot
Apparently Saturday's Lotto 6/49 Jackpot is $22 Million.
This also apparently induces the masses to make sure they get a ticket.
I'm guessing that weekly, on average, the pots are around $2-5 million. Yet there isn't the same buzz over these pots which now seem such a paltry amount.
But aren't one's odds slightly *better* if they plonk down $2 on the smaller less interesting jackpots then when it is $22 Million and everyone and their unborn children are vying for those 6 magical numbers?
Is handing over $2 to win $2 million any less ridiculous then $2to win $22 Million? Is the freedom any less imaginable?
The logic behind this is well..not all that logical - at least to me. Although had i paid attention in Psych 100, I may be able to explain the theory behind it all.
And yes, I will be buying a ticket.
