Another reason why eating marshmallows is dangerous to your health

LONDON, Ont. — A 32-year-old woman was in critical condition today after choking during a marshmallow-eating contest at the city's Western Fair, the London Free Press and London radio stations reported today....The unidentified woman was taking part in the Chubby Bunny contest, in which contestants stuff as many marshmallows as they can into their mouths.
EMS duty manager Al Hunt said the woman had no vital signs when paramedics arrived at the fairgrounds. He said she was revived at hospital and was in critical condition.

I have indulged in my fair share of these 'chubby bunny' contests, usually around a campfire when the roasting of the mallows gets boring. The gist of the contest is to see how many pillows of sugary goodness you can work into your mouth while still saying coherently "I love chubby bunnies". Admittedly, probably not the smartest thing we could do given we're also usually loaded and high as kites.... but i guess this is just all the more reason to not eat the marshmallow, proverbially or otherwise.
