sure, why not.

my dermatologist is crackers.

saw him today because of yummy plantar warts on the bottom of my left foot. have had one for longer than I remember and nothing i seemed to try worked. they've now lovingly multiplied so figured it was time to seek help from a professional...

...so as per Dr. Cracker's advice, I have just cut up a banana peel and taped it to the bottom of my foot.

metaphor

there are days when no matter what you do, what lane you change into, you can never seem to get very far or go very fast. someone or something is always in your way.

there are other days when you are happily going along and there is some jerk right on your ass pressuring you to go faster or get the hell out of the way.

there are times when you break down and whether it is dad, CAA, the boyfriend, a friend or a stranger, there is someone you can depend on to lend a hand.

and then there are other days when you just have to figure it out and rescue yourself.

there are times when the sun is shining, the air is warm and despite the summer heat, you roll down the window to let the wind catch your hair while you fly along the open road.

and sometimes you just want to hand the keys over to someone else for a while, curl up in the backseat and let them drive.

celbfj where art thou?

C, a fellow Torontonian (by way of montreal, seattle, NY and just about everywhere else) who i met while in CR, is my new partner in crime for all things adventurous (lavalife, surfing and surely many other things to come). We have another surf trip in the works for next fall and despite it being 9 months away, i'm really really excited. So much for living in the moment and the power of now....

At any rate, we're sending out feelers to those we met up with last time to see if we have any takers. I mean what could be better than a crew of fellow surf enthusiasts of varying skill level enjoying a gorgeous beach house, great scenery, a 4wd for land based adventures and a week of perfect lefts??

The planning of this has caused me to mentally flip back through the highlight reel from the last trip making me insanely curious as to the 'lifeabouts' of one celbfj (cute environmental lawyer boy from jersey)....

judging a book by its cover.

lately i've been debating if it's fair to judge someone based on a photo and a bio. if you can really put them into a box...

received lavamail from a guy this evening. these are highlights from his bio

let me share the things in my life that I truly love.
  • My job as the CEO of Canada’s fasting growing Marketing company
  • Dinner at the trendy new restaurant (before the media writes about it!)
  • Traveling the globe to exciting destinations
  • Beautiful Girls
  • Live theatre, box seats or stand up comedy (nothing like being there)
  • The water view from my Queens Quay condo…breathtaking
  • Bottle Service at the “it” club with friends (skipping the line of course)
  • Raising money for cancer research
  • Our loft style office on King West
  • Sexy lingerie
  • Hosting my annual New Years Eve Party – Indulge
  • Keeping in touch with my biz school classmates from Laurier
  • Jetsetting to Vegas or SoBe for the weekend
  • Saturday night dates or mid week drinks
  • Toronto International Film Festival (catches a few movies and hit all the right parties)
  • Reading the Sunday edition of the New York Times in central park with my Starbuck’s
Ya, pretty sure i don't need to read that book...it's likely just going to turn out to be a very glossy magazine with lots of ads filled with pretty people and very little content.

there is a god

Walking to the kitchen to get a cup of tea i started thinking....there really should be a cookie jar somewhere around this place.

There were about 8 boxes of Girl Guide cookies in the kitchen when I walked in.

I think Alanis might have called that ironic. To me, that's just really really really great timing.

I love that Girl Guides is one of our clients. This will be a yummy month ahead.
